Every record is on all of these. Pick the one you actually use and hit follow. For an independent artist that single tap is worth more than a hundred plays.

The Lofi Effect,
volume by volume.

Twenty records since October 2023, with Volume 20 arriving this week. Same idea every time: twenty or so beats, no filler, no features, nothing that shouts.

04  /  About

Two of us,
and we actually listen to it.

The Lofi Cutie is an instrumental project. It is two of us, Eric Erickson and Christopher Stashuk, credited as writers and producers on every release and putting them out through Exclusive Music Group. We started in October 2023 and we still put our own records on while we work.

The rule from the first volume has not changed. Nothing on these records competes for your attention. There are no vocals, no drops, no big moments designed to make you look up.

We listen to everything. Every track gets played all the way through and either makes the album or it does not. About three in ten get thrown out. Nothing has ever gone out that we did not sit with first.

The loudness is our call too. The first master came back at -14 LUFS and it sounded thin, so we lived with it for a while and settled on -10.5. That is a taste decision, not a spec, and it has been the same on every volume since.

The running order is chosen, not shuffled. The titles are ours. So is the artwork: same character every time, a different scene for every volume, and we have sent covers back for looking too much like the one before.

None of it is trying to be clever. It is music to put on underneath the thing you are actually doing, whether that is a deadline at two in the morning, a long drive, or getting a toddler to sleep.

Twenty records are out so far, 374 tracks in total, and Volume 20 arrives this week. New ones land most weeks now. How they get made is written out plainly further down the page.

05  /  Work with the music

Take it with you,
just tell people whose it is.

How the records get made, what you can use them for, and where the line is.

Straight answer

How the music is made

Worth saying plainly, because if you are thinking about licensing something you should hear it from us rather than work it out later.

The tracks are generated with AI. We use Suno. It is not one prompt and done. Everything runs through several passes and a quality gate before it ever reaches our ears: tempo held between 85 and 92 bpm, length between two and four minutes, and automatic rejection for dead air and abrupt endings. What survives that gets refined by hand.

Then we listen, all the way through, to every track. About seven in ten stay. Mastering is supervised by us at -10.5 LUFS, a number we picked by ear after trying -14 and deciding it was not right. Titles, running order and artwork direction are ours.

So: modern tools, a lot of passes, and two people deciding what is good enough to put out. We would rather you knew that on the way in.

Use it in your videos

You are welcome to put these tracks behind your own social posts. TikTok, Reels, Shorts, streams, vlogs, that sort of thing. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

All we ask is credit. Put the name in your caption or description, and a link back if the platform allows one.

Credit line Music: The Lofi Cutie · theloficutie.com

That covers personal and creator posts. Paid advertising, brand campaigns, film, television, games and anything you are releasing commercially still need a licence, which is a short conversation and usually a same week answer. If a platform ever flags one of these in a video of yours, send us the link and we will get it cleared.

License a track

The whole catalogue is clear for sync. Both writers are in house and the rights sit in one place, so there is no third party to chase for a signature.
